Role Summary

The Role: We are seeking an Assistant Site Manager to join our Southeast Region's Operations team. This role is crucial for supporting the management of our sites across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, and Oxfordshire. You will work closely with two Site Managers to deliver woodland management works, support the review of management plans, and engage with the community and volunteers. Responsibilities include supervising contractors, conducting site surveys and ecological assessments, implementing health and safety policies, and maintaining records of activities.
Job Requirements: Candidates should have experience in land-based management within the forestry or nature conservation sector and proven community engagement or volunteer management skills. You should be results-focused, self-motivated, and well-organized, capable of meeting tight deadlines and managing site-specific issues independently. Proficiency in MS Office and mobile device apps is required, along with excellent communication skills. A HNC/Level 4 qualification in forestry/countryside management or a related field is necessary, as is a full driving license for regular travel across the specified counties.
