Rivan Industries is a pioneering synthetic fuel company focused on decarbonizing industries that cannot be electrified. Our mission is to make synthetic fuel more affordable than fossil fuels and to sustain life on earth by keeping CO2 locked underground. The role: As the Finance Director at Rivan Industries, you will be instrumental in guiding our financial strategies and resources as we expand. This position encompasses complete ownership of the finance function, ranging from daily financial operations to strategic funding opportunities and shaping long-term financial strategies. You will report directly to the CEO. Key responsibilities include full responsibility for the effective operation of our financial site, managing all budgeting, reporting, and daily financial tasks. You will also handle forecasting, financial planning, execute all required filings, R&D refunds, and other processes. Your role will be crucial in streamlining financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy, developing easy and quick financial reports for the board, investors, C-suite, and team, and developing and owning the financial strategy. Additionally, you will be responsible for funding large-scale manufacturing, deployment, and R&D projects, optimizing financial decision-making across projects, analyzing various scenarios and strategies to find optimal balances, and identifying new funding opportunities including credit & debt financing, governmental grants, and corporate partnerships. Core skills required: The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of professional experience and hold a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in a related field. Experience in owning the finance function in hardware, energy, or infrastructure companies is essential. A track record of high-quality financial decision-making and robust, long-term strategies is expected. Benefits: The position offers a base salary of £125,000, with share options as part of the early team. This is an in-person role based at our headquarters in South Bermondsey, London.
