There’s important work to be done. Let’s get you into it.
Perhaps there’s an organisation whose work you keep coming back to. You’d love to be part of it, but looking at your own background, you can’t quite see how you’d get there. Or perhaps there are several problems you care deeply about and you want to give some proper thought to where you could do the most good. You might already be applying for roles and finding it hard to show how your experience fits.
You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly where you want to end up, and you don’t need an impact job on your CV already. You do need professional experience to bring, and to be serious about putting more of it towards tackling important problems.
Making that move is rarely just a case of spotting the right vacancy. A career can become pretty tied up with who you think you are. You can be the person everyone relies on at work and still suddenly feel like a beginner when you look at a new field. There are questions about whether your experience really translates, what you can afford to risk, what other people will think, and how to move when you can’t see the whole path yet. We’ll work on that part too.
Alongside the human side of changing direction, we’ll look seriously at the work itself: important problems, different ways people and organisations are trying to tackle them, where your skills could be particularly useful and what a realistic route in might look like for you. As possibilities begin to take shape, you’ll investigate them through real conversations and practical steps, learn from people working in the impact world, and work on approaches, applications and opportunities as they arise.
You’ll do all of this alongside a small group of people making their own version of the move. People who’ll get to know what you’re trying to do, compare notes, challenge your thinking, share what they know and be there for the progress as well as the unanswered emails and inevitable wobbles.
By the end, we want you to have more than a clearer idea of what you might do. We want you to know what you’re pursuing and why, be able to show what you bring, and have useful relationships, conversations, applications or opportunities already in motion.
“The programme has been a catalyst for personal growth – helping me shift my perspective, build practical tools for change, and connect with a community of sincere, purpose-driven individuals…”Eslam, 2025 Career Change Accelerator participant

WHAT WE’LL WORK ON TOGETHER
Nine live online workshops will take you from understanding what’s getting in the way through to having a real transition underway. There’ll be practical work between sessions too, based on the move you’re actually trying to make.
- Starting with you. We’ll work on mindset and fear, identity and what you bring, and the impact landscape: understanding what might be holding you back, getting much clearer on the career capital you already have, and exploring where you could make a valuable contribution.
- Testing the possibilities. We’ll turn interesting directions into things you can investigate in the real world, work with the uncertainty and setbacks that come with doing that, and get closer to the people and organisations doing the work.
- Making the move. We’ll look at money and responsibilities, different routes into your next role, how to show what you bring in approaches, applications and interviews, and what needs to happen over the following 90 days to keep the transition moving.
The nine workshop topics are: Mindset and Fear · Identity and What You Bring · The Impact Landscape · Possibilities into Experiments · Momentum and Uncertainty · Into the Room · Making the Transition Work · Show What You Bring · Your Next 90 Days.
The formal programme might finish in January, but we know career changes don’t work neatly to a nine-session deadline. You’ll keep access to the shared exercises and resources, and there’ll be opportunities to come back together around 30 and 90 days afterwards to see what’s moved and work on what comes next.
