Visitor Engagement Officer

Do you have the drive and determination to develop our vision for inspirational and effective engagement within the Trust’s Wild Space visitor centre? The Visitor Engagement Officer is responsible for managing a successful visitor centre at the Trust’s Wild Space in Pitlochry. Working with colleagues across the Trust, listening to customer feedback, and monitoring key performance data, the post holder will ensure the space is an effective tool for membership recruitment and supporter engagement by delivering excellent customer service standards and raising awareness of the Trust’s mission, vision and purpose. Main responsibilities: Wild Space Management • Support day to day management of the Wild Space visitor centre, gallery and exhibition space. • Manage improvements to the Wild Space visitor centre, including creative, innovative and dynamic displays and new interpretation ideas which highlight the importance of the Trust’s work. • Explore and develop opportunities to increase: Membership recruitment, email subscriptions, Individual giving donations and Volunteer sign-ups • Source exhibitions for the gallery space and manage all communications with artists. • Promote Wild Space locally by supporting relevant community events. E-commerce Management • Work with the Marketing and Communications team to develop a marketing sales plan to increase traffic to the online shop and increase customer retention and spend. • Develop the merchandise product range in line with the Trust’s ethical and sustainability standards. • Manage fulfilment processes and maximise efficiency and profitability of the online shop. • Establish and deliver a smart and efficient stock-control and retail sales system. • Produce monthly financial and sales reports.
