In response to the emergency of the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Oxfam is looking for an Advocacy Officer who will help strengthen the voice of affected communities, ensuring their needs and concerns are included in responses to the crisis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for: - Engaging with key stakeholders in DRC to advocate for strategies that prioritize community needs and perspectives. - Creating content that communicates Oxfam’s objectives and message clearly, ensuring that communities’ voices are represented in advocacy initiatives. - Collaborating with other agencies and partners to enhance reach and effectiveness of our advocacy efforts. - Supporting Oxfam programs in DRC through advice on embedding advocacy and influencing strategies in responses to the crisis.

To be successful in this role, you will need: - Proven experience in advocacy work and engagement with diverse stakeholders. - Excellent communication skills. - Understanding of the humanitarian context in DRC and the broader issues related to Ebola. - A commitment to Oxfam’s values and mission.
