About the Role The Advocacy Officer will lead the development and implementation of advocacy strategies, focusing on the response to the Ebola outbreak. This role will work closely with program teams to ensure that our advocacy effectively supports our programmatic work.
Key Responsibilities - Develop and implement advocacy strategies and campaigns that support Oxfam’s response to the Ebola outbreak. - Collaborate with other teams to ensure advocacy messages are incorporated into program plans. - Monitor and analyze advocacy developments and report on key trends and issues. - Engage with policymakers, government agencies, and other stakeholders to influence change. - Prepare advocacy briefs, reports, and proposals for funding applications.
Requirements - Experience in advocacy or policy work, particularly in relation to humanitarian issues. - Strong understanding of the political landscape surrounding health emergencies. - Excellent communication and analytical skills. - Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
