What will you be doing?

Jewels of Faith is a faith-based women's community organisation dedicated to encouraging women to thrive in their faith, relationships, and personal purpose. On Saturday 24 October 2026, we are hosting our Women's Well-Being & Community Gathering at Beswick Library, Manchester — a warm, inspiring in-person event bringing together up to 30 women of all ages for a morning of connection, conversation and celebration.

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help make the day run smoothly. As a volunteer, your key responsibilities will include:

Before the event (from approximately 10:00 AM): Arrive ahead of guests to help set up the room — arranging chairs, tables, refreshments and signage. You'll be briefed by the host, Olla Offia, on the day's programme and your role.

Welcoming guests (from 11:00 AM): Greet attendees warmly at the door, manage the registration/sign-in table, hand out any materials (including consent forms), and help guests feel immediately at ease.

During the event: Support the smooth running of a programme that includes a wellbeing talk, interactive activity, book signing, photography, and a closing celebration. You'll assist with seating, refreshments, and making sure attendees have everything they need throughout the three-hour event.

General support: Keep an eye on the room, replenish refreshments, assist any attendees who need help, and support the host and speakers as needed.

No experience is necessary — just a warm, welcoming personality and a heart for community. Full briefing provided on the day.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for warm, friendly women who love people and thrive in a community setting. Alongside a genuine heart for seeing women encouraged and celebrated, we are especially seeking volunteers who have at least 3 years of experience volunteering at events or coordinating volunteers in community, church, hospitality, or similar settings.

No formal qualifications are required, but experience supporting events of this nature is important to help create a smooth, welcoming, and well-organised environment for all attendees. Ideally, you will be reliable, punctual, confident taking initiative, and comfortable working as part of a team.

Experience in events, hospitality, customer service, or community work is highly valued. Most importantly, you will understand and appreciate the purpose of this gathering — and bring that warmth, care, and positive energy into everything you do on the day.

What difference will you make?

Your support will directly shape the experience of up to 30 women who come through the door looking for connection, encouragement and a sense of belonging. For many attendees, this will be a rare and special opportunity — and as Jewels of Faith's very first in-person immersive event, it is a landmark moment for our organisation. Your warmth and presence on the day will be a huge part of what makes it unforgettable.

Jewels of Faith is a bold, growing organisation run by women for women, with a powerful community across the UK and beyond. We don't rely on a large paid events team — which means every volunteer is genuinely vital. Without your help, we simply could not deliver an event of this quality. Your contribution means our host and speakers can focus entirely on delivering an inspiring programme, while our guests feel welcomed, seen and cared for from the moment they arrive.

Beyond the day itself, events like this help Jewels of Faith grow its community, reach more women across Manchester, and build towards future gatherings and programmes. You'll be part of something historic — and we'd love to have you with us.
