The Ellen MacArthur Foundation is dedicated to the development and promotion of the circular economy concept, which aims to be restorative and regenerative by design. Through our efforts in research, business collaboration, and advocacy, we strive to hasten the global shift from a linear to a circular economy, focusing on eliminating waste and pollution, maintaining products and materials in use, and rejuvenating natural systems. Over the past 15 years, our work has influenced over 100 countries to adopt strategic circular economy roadmaps, with 55% of businesses now incorporating such strategies. We are now moving into a phase focused on the implementation and scaling of these strategies, particularly in the Global South as well as the Global North, with fashion being a key sector in this new era.
