What will you be doing?

Social Media Administrator

We are seeking a volunteer able to take ownership for our online outreach, alongside others who cover complementary aspects of marketing.

The successful applicant will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and will have the confidence to innovate and bring new ideas to our Digital marketing and Social media on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Linkedin. There could also be scope for working with other media.

KMHCF is a small charity which acts as the collective voice to represent the views and concerns of unpaid Mental Health Carers in the Royal Borough of Kingston. We are recognised in this campaigning role by statutory services who engage us as active members of decision-making committees. We also partner with other third-sector organisations.

We are able to assist the individual Carers who contact us for confidential advice and guidance, and we offer Peer Support, both 1:1 and in a group. By supporting Carers’ needs, we also contribute to the wellbeing of those they care for, aiming for the best possible mental health outcomes.

Those who care in this way often feel isolated and bewildered by Health & Social Care Systems. We need someone who would be enthusiastic in reaching out to the many ‘Hidden Carers’ who could benefit from our services.

If you have expertise to offer, we’d like to hear from you. Please contact us for an initial discussion.

What are we looking for?

Expertise and enthusiasm in Social Media.

Willingness to reach out to isolated people.

Self-motivated, able to manage time to achieve outcomes.

What difference will you make?

You will help us to reach unpaid Carers, to help break their isolation.

You will support the work of the Trustees, who are dedicated to this cause but who lack skills in Social Media. Your expertise will be greatly valued.

Anything else...

We would expect the volunteer to manage their time to achieve agreed outcomes.
