Help shape the future of our National Parks. We’re looking for 2-3 new Trustees to join our Board and help secure the future of National Parks across England and Wales. For 75 years, we have challenged decision-makers, influenced national policy and brought people together in support of National Parks that are richer in nature and welcoming to everyone. But these special places need dynamic voices, fresh thinking, differing perspectives and ambitious leadership if they are to thrive into the future. As we enter the next phase of our work, we are seeking new Trustees who can bring new perspectives, constructive challenge, and experience in one or more of the following areas: Advocacy, raising profile through social media, communications, public affairs, campaigning, or external engagement; Business acumen and long-term financial sustainability; Strategic fundraising, particularly individual giving and philanthropy. We particularly welcome individuals with experience of working with under-represented communities, championing social justice, or helping organisations advance anti-racism, equity, diversity, and inclusion. Previous Trustee experience is not essential, and first-time Trustees will receive a comprehensive induction and support. The voluntary role requires a commitment of approximately 1 day per month. Meetings are held online, in London and in National Parks, and reasonable agreed expenses will be reimbursed.
