A bit about us
We love doing good, and we happen to be exceptionally good at it too! To date, we’ve donated over AUD$10 million (roughly USD$7.4 million) to fund sanitation projects around the globe.
Our team is made up of over 140 amazing humans in Australia, the Philippines, China, the US, UK and Europe and we’re working hard to reach our ambitious goals to create the greatest impact possible – for people and the planet. How ambitious you ask? Well, it involves increasing our annual donation 10-fold in the next couple of years to get closer to our mission – toilets and clean water for all!
A bit about the role
When someone goes to the bathroom in their local cafe, stays in a boutique hotel for a weekend getaway, or browses the shelves of their favorite independent specialty store, we want our TP to be there so that they may be delighted to discover our sustainable and feel-good product and become customers for life.
And it’s up to our savvy Business Development team to not only expand our wholesale channels to get more businesses wiping with us, but also identify new customer opportunities by increasing quality brand exposure through strategic partnerships. That’s why we’re looking for a talented UK Business Development Manager (B2B) to lead and drive our B2B and independent retail strategy in the UK, helping us move from organic channel growth to targeted scaled growth across the UK.
Reporting to the Director of Business Development, you’ll join a growing global Growth Marketing team whilst also being a founding member of our dedicated UK/EU team as we look to build on our reputation in the region.
You will increase our brand’s presence by building and owning your sales pipeline to reach the right prospects, win them over and see their orders across the line. You will also manage larger inbound inquiries as they come through the door.
It’s not all wheeling and dealing - you’ll work closely with our growth marketing & brand team as we think about how we can leverage the appeal and charm of WGAC in our customers’ bathrooms to optimize brand awareness and contribute to the growth objectives for our DTC (online) business.
This position will be based in our UK hub, to complement a larger growth team spanning the US and Australia. Our hybrid hub model means this role will be remote first, though if you’re based in London there’ll be opportunities for some in-person connection and collaboration in a coworking space.
We’re not immune to the effects of challenging time zones but we look to solve this by committing to some early starts or late finishes of collaboration “prime” time between hubs, no more than 3 days a week.
If you worked here this past month here are some things you might have been involved in:
- Kicked off your 2022 sales pipeline by mapping out the dreamiest leads to increase our footprint in London in hotels, food service, office spaces & live venues
- Researched ideal brand partners and created an outreach strategy to woo leads from your first chats
- Pitched Who Gives A Crap to three large customers, including a banging chain of boutique hotels, a large-scale influential office space and a super trendy restaurant group with lots of sites.
- Modeled the opportunity & commercials to partner with a national distributor
- Worked with our brand team to build out a long-lasting supply & brand partnership deal that includes IRL activations
- Launched with a fast-growing e-retail with a launch campaign that included sampling, eDMs and in-app banners
- Worked collaboratively with the wholesale team & other functions to complete all required paperwork and get that first order on the books
- Shared back your latest learnings in our monthly metrics meeting
Let’s talk about you
You’re always on the pulse
You are obsessed with the trendiest venues in the UK and love to research new brands. You love to develop brand partnerships and have no shame about leaving behind a roll of TP as a cheeky sales move (sort of kidding, sort of not).
You’re always hungry (mostly for cookies but also for sales)
You’ve always been a salesperson by nature, but with the added joy of having a direct impact on our donations, you’ll find a whole new meaning for hungry! You know the importance of winning long-term friends as well as short-term revenue, so whilst you have a systemic approach to your pipeline management you’ve found the right balance of “sales-y” and brand synergy.
You heart B2B/Wholesale/Retail
You know how to navigate the B2B/Wholesale/Retail landscape and you have worked closely with a CX and logistics team to set your customers up for success. Your customers love dealing with you as you’re able to get their accounts up and running with ease and they know they can turn to you for help and advice. When issues do arise, you take the initiative to solve their problems. You’re calm under pressure and comfortable with navigating the unknown.
Organisation and attention to detail are your superpowers
No task is too small when it comes to making sure the management of our wholesale customer orders are running like clockwork. You might even come up with some nifty ideas to make our processes even more efficient as we grow and scale.
You give a crap
Yep. We’re all here because we genuinely want to make the world a better place with our work, and we want you to want that too! Awwww.
Phew, ok... let’s take a pause. Research suggests that at this point up to 60% of those identifying as women or under-represented folks might have talked themselves out of applying. But here’s the thing, you don’t have to check every box and we are serious about the growth and development of all those who join us. So please - introduce yourself and let us know about you!

Oh, and you get to say the word ‘crap’ more than in any other job. Guaranteed.
