What will you be doing?
Our Treasurer Dave has been in post since co-founding the charity in 2018. Dave is now aiming to retire from the position and hand over to a new Treasurer.
Dave has developed and streamlined the charity's systems and our excellent, employed Business Lead is now managing the day to day financial tasks.
This role is vital for the continuation of the charity. Without a treasurer we would be unable to continue the fantastic service that we currently provide to active, adventurous visually impaired adults.
What are we looking for?
We need a trustee with experience in charity finance, including restricted and unrestricted funds.
Simple accounting, cash (receipts and payments) accounting systems, cashflow, payroll.
Crucially, you need to be able to oversee a member of staff doing those things. As we are a very small charity our Business Lead has a wide ranging role and is not necessarily a financial specialist.
What difference will you make?
This role will be key to the future of the charity.
Over 8 years we have built up a thriving community of visually impaired adventurers and volunteer sighted guides.

Our new Treasurer will become a vital part of this community. It's not compulsory, but we love it if our trustees are able to take part in some of our courses and activities.

We are looking for some flexibility in time commitment over the year for example a bit more time may be required around our year end.
