Center for Civic Futures (CCF), a program of Renaissance Philanthropy, exists to align government leaders, technology builders, and partners around transformative opportunities presented by AI and emerging technologies. We envision a future where governments are able to both effectively harness emerging technologies to meet the needs of a changing world, and stand at the forefront of responsible AI driving positive change for everyday people.

The Events and Community Manager leads all logistical planning and on-the-ground execution of Center for Civic Futures convenings, briefings, salons, roundtables, and public programs. This includes programming that engages funders and operators, as well as government and Tribal officials. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role owns production schedules, venue and vendor logistics, contracts and negotiations, and budget planning. It owns tracking and on-site delivery, translating program strategy set by leadership into flawlessly executed events that deliver real value, not just polished production.

This person should have strong instincts for event design, favoring substance and real connection over formality and script. Every convening should be co-built with the people in the room, shaped around what attendees actually need, so the value is felt immediately and authentically, not staged for effect. This is innovative work: building tailored experiences for cross-sector groups that seldom meet, alongside the intuition to adapt when traditional methods won't serve the room.

The ideal candidate knows how to make a room feel personal without letting it feel unprepared, reading what different stakeholders, funders, Tribal officials, civil servants, operators, actually need and shaping the gathering around that rather than a fixed format. They notice when a program starts to feel performative and are willing to adjust course, even late in planning. Success, to them, is measured less by a flawless run of show and more by whether people left with a real relationship, idea, or next step.

On the community side, this role focuses on who is in the room. It involves facilitating introductions, helping manage online spaces, and keeping the network warm between major gatherings. Trust and connection aren't built in a single moment, they require continuous, year-round engagement beyond our scheduled gatherings. We expect this person to bring their own relationships and networks, and to actively use them in service of building trust and collaboration across sectors, expanding who CCF can reach and what's possible when we convene.

This position is a fully remote, US based role with occasional travel for convenings and partner meetings.

We offer a full healthcare package, 5% 401(k) or pension contribution, additional $550/month (US) for fringe benefits, and base salary. The base salary range(s) for this role are as follows: • $130,000 - $150,000
