Mance Communications are seeking a Public Relations Senior Account Executive who is full of creative ideas and eager to contribute on a larger scale. Working with Media and Clients to construct and adapt strategies that make an impact. The successful applicant will report to SAM and have a junior team to manage.
We are seeking a driven, confident, articulate individual who possesses the skills and confidence to hit the ground running in what is a fast-paced and rapidly expanding agency. The ideal candidate should be able to lead a team and work in an enjoyable friendly centric environment and a dog.
This role consists of working with a number of clients across the lifestyle, consumer, investment, and business sectors; experience in any or all of these areas would be preferred but is not essential. As part of our rapid-growth, we’re searching for new members of the account management team who are motivated and comfortable in taking on a broad scope of responsibility and subsequent seniority as their role progresses.
- The ability to strategise and drive national coverage for their client accounts, pitching to titles on a daily basis on behalf of a portfolio of exciting SMEs
- The ability to manage/liaise regularly with clients and a team of account executives in the handling of key retainers
- Immaculate attention to detail alongside innovative, articulate, and speedy writing skills
- A passion for keeping on top of the news landscape and adapting client pitches accordingly
- Experience in B2B/B2C public relations. Candidates with experience consumer and lifestyle would be ideal but not essential to the role as the right candidates can look at this as a progression.
The day-to-day
- Managing a portfolio of clients’ PR accounts
- Providing strategic counsel to clients to aid their PR and wider marketing campaignsProviding commentators and product or company information to the media (newspapers, magazines, radio, television and online news sites)
- Building relationships with existing and new clients
- Building relationships with key media contacts
- Liaising with clients regarding press campaigns, creative projects and PR solutions
- Dealing with the media, speaking to journalists and other members of the press
- Providing innovative and creative ideas to clients
- Briefing clients and updating them on press campaigns
- Analysing PR coverage and providing written reports
- Communicating effectively with a range of stakeholders
Key responsibilities
Responsibilities will vary according to organisation and accounts but may include a combination of:
- Daily point of contact with key media contacts
- Developing industry, sector and product focused PR campaigns
- Managing the needs of the client and their account
- Contributing to daily meetings, and liaising and updating clients on PR activities
- Building client relationships and maintaining a network of media contacts including journalists and industry spokespeople
- Developing news angles, stories and pitches to further the client’s profile, products and services.
- Being involved in pitching for new business and developing PR proposals
- Help mentor junior members of staff

Standard hours are generally Monday-Friday, 9:30am - 5:30pm with a 3/2 office WFH structure. There may be a requirement to work irregular hours or overtime to meet client deadlines, manage a client crisis or press launch. Attending networking events and social occasions with clients will also add to your working hours
