Role Summary

The role: As an Officer, Resilient Development, you will join the international ICLEI World Secretariat team based in Bonn, Germany. You will be part of the Resilient Development Team, focusing on the coordination, reporting, and delivery of the 'Urban Adaptation Finance Facility' project across cities in Latin America and the Caribbean. This includes coordinating activities with consultants, regional offices, and government counterparts, supporting project preparation from concept to funding approval, and integrating various considerations into project activities to enhance bankability and alignment with climate finance.
Job requirements: The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in a relevant field such as economics, finance, public policy, or environmental studies, and at least 5 years of experience in development finance or climate finance. Proficiency in English and Portuguese is required. Experience in organizing capacity-building events and familiarity with digital collaboration tools is also necessary.
Benefits: The position offers a starting annual salary of 42,917.40 EUR, work-from-home flexibility within Germany, 40 hours per week with 30 days of paid leave per year, and the possibility of contract extension after the initial 1-year term.
