We are recruiting for a Communications Analyst within our Strategic Projects Team. This is an exciting role where you will be supporting a selection of operational projects and technology communications over the coming year.

Reporting to our Communications Manager, you will work with stakeholders across the business such as the Programme Portfolio Director, Corporate Communications Team, and our Business Change Team. You will help to plan, create and deliver communications to support successful programme delivery and embed sustainable change.

Key Responsibilities & Duties required for this role:

  • Creating a range of communications collateral, e.g. presentations, briefing notes and intranet pages for multiple audiences in line with internal tone of voice. Tracking feedback and ensuring appropriate sign-off.
  • Ensuring various communication plans are kept up to date.
  • Assisting in planning and delivering team meetings and events.
  • Assessing communication risks associated with any projects.
  • Actively participating in meetings and workshops.
  • Maintaining and analysing spreadsheets, using them to help track key deliverables.
  • Some light administrational duties for the Strategic Projects communications function – e.g. team diary management, taking notes at meetings.
  • Owning smaller communications deliverables and making sure they are delivered to deadline.
  • Making sure our communications are inclusive and easily accessible.
  • Helping to deliver communications as part of our departmental inclusion forum.

You will also need: 

  • Previous experience working and successfully delivering in a project communications or similar role.
  • Ability to write to a high standard, with correct spelling and grammar. 
  • Understanding of communication methodologies, tools and techniques.
  • Excellent understanding of business change communication practices.
  • An interest in technology/IT and how it can improve how we work.
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver communication collateral in line with planned dates.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, able to work proactively with minimal supervision and at pace, making judgement calls on competing requirements.
  • Comfort working within Excel and intranet content management software.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills - ability to communicate with people, both verbally and in writing, to senior management level.
  • Confident and self-motivated, your excellent interpersonal and communication skills mean you will be able to liaise effectively with all levels of management, building strong relationships with a large number of stakeholders and team members.
