Old Spike is now entering a phase of significant growth both in terms of our wholesale output as well as the opening of three new central London cafes over the next 6 months.
We are looking for a confident, pro-active marketeer with experience in growing D2C consumer brands online as well as a solid understanding of broader marketing strategy in launching brands in retail environments. Their primary focus will be working with our Digital Marketing Executive to develop and implement our marketing strategy to help us grow our three key revenue channels of wholesale, retail, and cafes.
Marketing experience is critical for this role, and experience within the coffee industry would be preferred but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop strategic marketing plans, as well as execute and schedule all tactical campaign elements including but not limited to social media campaigns, email marketing pieces, website updates, advertising, app support, brand elements, copywriting and sponsorship related deliverables.
· Manage and develop our recently hired Digital Marketing Executive and report directly to our Group Operations Director
· Increase customer online engagement and conversion and where appropriate, manage and develop online social advertising campaigns to deliver this.
· Analyse campaign success and recommend new strategies to improve upon future marketing planning to meet the brand’s needs. Monitor and evaluate personal progress against KPIs, objectives and commercial priorities.
· Identify how we best communicate our purpose and values to a wider, more diverse audience across available channels. Carrying out Old Spikes mission, vision and strategic plan in a manner consistent with the our values.
· Providing practical marketing and PR support to the Retail, Wholesale and Ecommerce teams.
· Providing insight into the industry and markets we operated, but also comparative industries, to allow us to progress our thinking and marketing activations.
· Build a strong network within the coffee, food and consumer brand space, promoting our brand and raising brand awareness at every turn.
What we need from you:
A strong understanding of our mission to help people and planet through coffee
Proven record of leading and executing marketing campaigns
Organized, self-directed, self-motivated, creative, detail and deadline oriented.
Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple marketing campaigns in a fast-paced environment.
Must be a team player and work well in a collaborative environment.
3+ years in a similar marketing role
Experience in the coffee, beverage, or foodservice industries.
High level of familiarity with social media platforms.
