eWATER installs and maintains smart water systems in rural Africa, and guarantees the water keeps flowing, 24/7, for a minimum of 15 years. Around 40% of rural water systems break down within two years of being built, usually because nobody is paid or equipped to run them. Our innovative model fixes that by acting as one accountable operator: we work under long-term contracts with county governments, customers top up an eWATERtag with mobile money, pay only for what they fetch, and every SmartTap is monitored live. Every cent from water sales goes back into local technicians, spares and maintenance, and Gold Standard carbon credits help fund new systems. We’re a UK-registered company working in Kenya, Tanzania, and The Gambia, with a goal of serving 1 million people by 2029.
