About the role:

Accurate, reliable and timely financial planning and reporting is key to growing and scaling our business and making strategic decisions.

By joining us as a Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in scaling up our financial operations and managing our financing position through investment cycles.

You will be directly responsible for developing our financial plans, optimising financial processes and helping us design and strategise for efficiencies as we scale our global customer base, while making sure we are meeting our international reporting requirements.

We are a fast growing team and need a self-starter who loves to build communities and enjoys setting ambitious goals and their relentless pursuit. You will be part of our fast paced growth team and help shape the future of our fintech products.

You will be responsible for:

  • Financial reporting, both internally and to all external stakeholders;
  • Developing and maintaining a robust financial plan and forecast to aid budgeting and decision-making;
  • Optimising the day-to-day finance function of the company;
  • All strategic finance-related projects working closely with the Founders and department heads;
  • Implementing new financial processes to ensure the business can continue to scale;
  • Projects to ensure there is robust management of the company’s financial position;
  • Playing a pivotal part of the company’s continued fundraising, supporting the CEO and leadership team to develop financial models and fundraising materials;
  • Ensuring financial processes are robust and well-embed in the business;
  • Cross-collaborating with other areas of the business, where needed to ensure financial processes are optimised.

What we love:

  • Undergrad degree with ACCA/ACA/CIMA or other accounting qualification
  • Start up, E-commerce, SME finance or retail exposure are highly desirable
  • Team player and problem solver, that takes ownership to see projects through
  • Financial leader, capable of managing teams and coaching the next generation of finance professionals
  • Strategic 'big picture' thinker that is also highly detail orientated, especially when working with and analysing large amounts of data
  • Multi-tasker that works well under pressure
  • Passion to support start-ups and a hunger for a fast-paced environment with constant growth and change
  • Excellent Excel skills a must. SQL a bonus
