Overview

You will have significant experience in a senior management or director level position, enabling you to oversee and direct our wide range of multidisciplinary projects and accounts. You will be responsible (with the support of the Account Directors and Partnerships Director) for pitching, developing, troubleshooting and problem solving across our accounts and new business opportunities. This will include interpreting complex client briefs, building account development plans, writing proposals and setting service level standards for our client partnerships.

You’ll be comfortable staying away from the day-to-day account and project management, and you won’t ‘own’ any projects or accounts yourself. But you will ensure a consistently high standard of client service is delivered across the board.

The role will require a significant level of financial understanding, budget management and accountability. You’ll be responsible for overseeing project and account finances and striving to meet certain business targets. You will report finances to our MD on a regular basis.

You’re our type of Human if you’re

  • Considered: You understand briefs from both a client and HAA business and brand strategy perspective, always considering solutions in accordance that are beneficial to all parties.
  • Exacting: You instil the need for attention to detail into all.
  • Calm: You create an environment of calm, remaining positive and level-headed at all times, always ready to galvanise everyone both HAA and client side. You are emotionally resilient and consistent, projecting stability. People always know where they are with you and that you can be relied upon to find the right solution.
  • Insightful: You use an understanding of people and personalities to really "see" the client, ensuring that we create the right work for this client and at this time. You see above and beyond the task at hand, at how everything is interconnected in a bigger picture. You can move between micro and macro and across silos while always keeping sight of the goal. You can throw light onto things that are hard to see.
  • Self-aware: You are transparent and authentic, helping others to be their truest self. You are not afraid to ask the simple questions, or admit when you're not the expert.
  • Collaborative: You create the optimum environment for great work to be conducted in. You're empathetic to HAA’s creative discipline areas and how they work together. You practice unbound thinking and can connect the dots in unique ways. You can create a collective vision, ensuring the whole team gets to share their POV equally. You are motivating and empowering. You galvanise, reassure and elevate others, providing structure and compassion.
  • Responsible: You clear a path for the team to succeed. You ensure these successes are shared but accept accountability for failures and share learnings among the group.
  • Honest: You foster a culture of candour, making everyone at ease with any feedback positive or negative, elevating those around you and driving the business forward.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Professional development: As a line manager to people at Director level, you can oversee the ongoing professional development of your team, including identification of appropriate training.
  • Communication & presentation: You can present work to clients at exec/board level, often with limited available time to prepare. You can visit external student and professional bodies and deliver a lecture or workshop on an area of expertise.
  • Problem solving: You are quick to spot and preempt problems, creating a solutions focused atmosphere of calm as the team improvises and adapts to change, no matter how challenging the circumstances.
  • New business and pitching: You will work closely with our MD and Partnerships Director to identify and respond to potential new business opportunities. This will include pitching.
