The Role
The Junior Product Owner is responsible for the monitoring and management of the WaterBear Network product roadmap, strategically covering all product ecosystems across all relevant devices and platforms, while also supporting WaterBear Network’s overall strategy and goals.
They will be the custodian of the WaterBear Network product technical support and roadmap’s execution, and will work with our internal and external stakeholders to ensure that WaterBear’s objectives progress successfully via the management, execution and implementation of the product vision, plan and roadmap.
We’re looking for a team player who would like to grow in the product ownership field, has worked with development teams in an Agile methodology and is comfortable in a fast paced and very fun environment; has a passion for impact and content, and thrives in a start-up world.
Key Outputs
- Assistance on the definition and communication of(and in alignment with) the product vision, strategy and roadmap across all platforms and devices for WaterBear Product internally and externally.
- Support the Product department in the maintenance, visibility and documentation updates of the product vision, strategy and roadmap progress.
- Participate in the review of new information and data, including business requirements to adjust the product roadmap and priorities accordingly.
- Set up and maintain an effective communication framework, with transparency on prioritization. Regular updates provided internally to align expectations and stay informed with relevant stakeholders and requirements.
- Ensure that product development & maintenance requirements are continuously assessed, understood and prioritized.
- Support documentation of meetings, sessions and workshops relevant to Product.
- Support technical assistance for user and platform issues. Testing, reporting, escalation and follow up. Keep track of open tech tickets and investigations and inform upon resolution.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure that business priorities, timelines and budgets are met as planned.
- Monitoring of product data using analytics software (Google Analytics, Tableau, Firebase, BigQuery and SAP Marketing Cloud) for reporting and hypothesis testing/validation.
- Assistance on internal QA Testing & UAT for product developments
- Structural part of product optimisation strategy (executive) in alignment with department and company KPI’s
- Weekly and monthly reporting of Product development progress updates.
- Active presence and presence lead from WaterBear front in daily scrums with the development team.
- Lead operationally on sprint cycles management (including planning and review).
Skills & Qualifications
- Relevant degree.
- Experience in Product Ownership/Management.
- Demonstrated success in working with development teams, defining and launching digital products and product features.
- Experience in using UX design software for product improvement.
- Clear understanding of Waterfall and Agile methodologies (sprint cycles and scrum experience).
- Scrum master certification is a plus.
- Project management experience.
- Passionate about data driven testing and learning procedures.
- Curiosity for the technology behind digital platforms for media streaming and positive impact generation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work closely with internal and external stakeholders.
- Understanding of the technical requirements of the Digital Media industry and extensive follow up of platforms of similar nature as WaterBear.
- Excellent organizational, planning, tracking and reporting skills. Experience with Jira, Zendesk and/or Notion are ideal.

- Fluent in both written and spoken English. Any other language is a plus!
