Role Summary

  • Leading the operation and development of Kew's Ticketing functions, including managing on-site and online systems.
  • Driving income generation, monitoring compliance, and providing effective reports.
  • Supporting continuous improvement of ticketing operations through collaboration with various Kew departments.
  • Contributing to the improvement of Visitor Experience by shaping future ticketing solutions.
  • Managing and growing small team to provide excellent customer service.

Role Requirements

  • Proven experience in ticketing operations within similar visitor-focused attractions is required.
  • Knowledge of large-scale ticketing or CRM systems is mandatory.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills, along with experience in reporting, are required.
  • Experience in system integration, supplier management, or ticket transformation projects is preferable.

The role: As the Ticketing Operations Manager, you will lead the management, operation, and development of Kew’s Ticketing functions. This includes overseeing both on-site and online ticketing systems, driving income generation, ensuring compliance, and effective reporting. You will work collaboratively across multiple departments at both Kew and Wakehurst to maintain and optimize current ticketed operations and play a central role in shaping future ticketing solutions as part of Kew’s Enhancing Visitor Experience (EVE) transformation programme. Additionally, you will inspire and develop a small team to deliver operational excellence and outstanding customer service.

Job requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need proven experience in managing ticketing, box office, or admissions operations within a major visitor attraction, museum, gallery, heritage venue, or similar environment. Experience working with large-scale ticketing or CRM systems is essential. You should have a strong grasp of reporting, excellent organizational and leadership skills, and experience in integrating systems, managing suppliers, or ticketing transformation projects will be an advantage.
