Role Summary
- Design and construct LLM-powered agents for Numan's AI platform.
- Ensure robust evaluation pipelines and implement observability and debugging tools for optimal production health.
- Develop retrieval-augmented generation architectures.

- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Clinical teams.
Role Requirements
- Proven experience in deploying AI-powered features from prototype to production.

The role We are seeking a backend-focused AI Systems Engineer to join our agile and experienced engineering team. You will play a crucial role in developing the AI platform that powers Numan's next-generation products. Your responsibilities will include designing and building LLM-powered agents, maintaining robust evaluation pipelines, developing retrieval-augmented generation architectures, and implementing tooling for observability and debugging to maintain production health. You will also build backend services and APIs to enable AI capabilities across multiple products and collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Clinical teams.
Job requirements The ideal candidate should be motivated to build AI systems that have a meaningful impact on healthcare. You should have a demonstrated track record of deploying AI-powered features from prototype to production. Strong backend engineering skills, particularly in Python, and experience with distributed systems, asynchronous processing, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines are essential. Experience in building LLM-powered applications and familiarity with agent frameworks like LangChain or LangGraph is required. A systems-oriented, reliability-focused approach and experience in full development lifecycle activities are also crucial.
