About the role
Our Investment Portfolio Manager will carry out due diligence and assessment on social investment proposals submitted to us from outside organisations.
You will be ensuring that our investments have a positive impact on the individuals and communities we serve. This also entails evaluating business plans and the financial viability of the organisations that approach us.
As part of this role you also will be monitoring and evaluating the impact and financial performance of our social investments at an individual and portfolio level.
Fulfilling these responsibilities will involve writing reports, undertaking financial modelling and attending meetings with investee organisations and co-investors.
Reporting to the Head of Social Investment, this role sits within the Finance team but involves extensive collaboration with JRF colleagues working in other directorates.
About you
You will need to have solid experience of financial modelling as well as some experience of assessing business plans within a banking, investment or consulting environment or similar role and strong written and verbal communication skills.
A demonstrable commitment to the social issues we care about is also essential.
If you have experience of social investment then this would be advantageous, but is not essential.
