The next stage of Perlego is two fold: 1) expand our support to students globally, and 2) build a product that goes beyond the book, a platform that helps students study smarter and more effectively.

What we’re looking for

An experienced Account Manager – preferably with publishing industry experience (but not essential), joining the content team you will manage the accounts of our publishing partners by checking inventory status, publisher portal queries, sales reports and general day to day enquiries.

How we work together

Once a publisher has signed and completed the onboarding process you will be responsible for the wellbeing of publisher accounts out of the UK. Working closely with acquisition, onboarding, marketing and curation you will help design and implement an efficient and effective process of communication to ensure the account health and happiness of our partners

What success looks like for this role in 12 months

  • In 3 months you will have formed a process post onboarding to ensure partners remain happy at Perlego – have built relationships will all key partners and internal stakeholders
  • In 6 months began implementation of end to end account management processes and understand the profile of all publishing partners
  • In 12 months achieved a scalable process which can be replicated across our international teams as we scale up

What you’ll do

Take on responsibility for the publisher account management process, from research to implementation to ensure publishing partners remain happy working alongside Perlego

Develop a deep understanding of our publishers’ goals and pain points

Create a communication framework for sharing data and insights

Assist in attending and hosting publisher events to build relationships and educate our partners

Work collaboratively with other teams within Perlego, providing learnings to influence strategy and product

Requirements

It’s the perfect role for you if you have:

  • 2+ years experience in account management
  • You’re relationship savvy and can create close relationships with stakeholders and customers.
  • You’re organised and efficient
  • Have excellent listening skills to understand partners needs and goals
  • You can communicate your hypotheses and findings back to the business with actionable takeaways.
  • You have energy, passion and a sleeves-rolled-up mentality: think quick, act fast and measure later. We don’t overplan or get lost in “strategising” - you’re a self-starter.

⭐️ It’s a plus if you have:

  • Experience in ed-tech and/or publishing industry
  • Experience in a startup environment
  • Ability to speak other languages
  • Have a general interest in books, reading and always learning new things!

Salary available: £26,000 - £30,000 + equity
