Role Summary
- Lead the Woods Under Threat programme, address threats against valuable woods and trees, and identify public campaign opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Campaigns Mobilisation team to design and coordinate campaigns.
- Compile, analyze, and share data for audience engagement.
- Develop advocacy plans and represent the Trust in public forums and media.
- Lead a team and forge political relationships to instigate policy changes.
Role Requirements
- Experience in leading activities and campaigns within a larger programme.
- Knowledge of UK environmental legislation and policy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, GIS mapping, database management, and digital communication tools.
- Experience in advocacy plan development and strong relationship-building skills.

The Role: As the Programme Lead for Woodland and Tree Protection, you will lead the Woods Under Threat programme. Your main responsibilities will include delivering timely and effective responses to threats against valuable woods and trees, identifying opportunities for public campaigns, and collaborating with the Campaigns Mobilisation team to develop and coordinate these campaigns. You will also compile and disseminate data to support audience engagement, develop advocacy plans, and represent the Trust in public forums, including media appearances and panel discussions. Additionally, you will lead a small team, providing support to ensure their success, and develop political relationships to drive policy change.
Job Requirements: Candidates should have experience leading activities and campaigns within a larger programme, knowledge of environmental legislation and policy in the UK, and experience managing a team. Strong skills in Microsoft Office, GIS mapping, database management, and digital communication tools are essential. Experience in developing advocacy plans and strong relationship-building skills are also required.
