Company Background
Close to 2 billion people do not have access to reliable energy due to unreliable infrastructure and poor connectivity. SteamaCo provides technology
that makes it easy and low cost for utility companies to plug this gap.
SteamaCo is a UK-based IoT smart metering technology company with operations in Sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia. We design integrations with smart meters which use a data-efficient API to tightly control power consumption. Through our platform, utilities can monitor and maintain their grids, view real-time consumption data, diagnose and fix issues, view payments, and much more. Our data analytics backend detects, alerts, and facilitates the resolution of electricity theft, which can account for up to 80% of utilities companies' financial losses. We also provide several bespoke Android and web applications for field engineers and agents, as well as end consumers.
