Role summary
- Take a key role in steering the direction of our technology and product
- Work autonomously on problem definition and solution development, collaborating cross-functionally
- Take full ownership of projects from inception to delivery
- Work closely with the Head of Engineering on system architecture design
Role requirements
- Over 8 years of experience in delivering complex software systems
- Proficiency in Python and TypeScript
- Experience with IaC/Terraform and modern CI/CD practices
- Knowledge in designing and executing cloud-based system architecture
- Experience with data-intensive systems or building SaaS and enterprise applications is desirable

The Role As a Staff Software Engineer at CarbonChain, you will have a significant impact on the direction of our technology and product. This role offers the autonomy to define and solve problems, requiring you to work collaboratively across teams to deliver solutions that are not only feasible but also make a measurable difference. You will take full ownership of projects from conception to delivery, driving initiatives forward and collaborating closely with our Head of Engineering to design system architecture.
Job Requirements We are looking for someone with over 8 years of experience in delivering complex software systems and achieving large scale user adoption. You should have deep expertise in modern web applications, distributed systems, and a strong background in Python and TypeScript. Experience in designing and implementing cloud-based system architectures, knowledge of IaC/Terraform, and modern CI/CD practices are essential. Bonus points if you have experience with data-intensive systems or building SaaS and enterprise applications.
