Role Summary

  • Take hold of The National Lottery Heritage Fund project with an aim to uncover 500 years of undiscovered natural heritage.
  • Ensure successful delivery by managing the project, keeping all reporting and recording systems updated, and leading the project team.
  • Develop relationships with local communities, partners, and the media to build support for the Woodland Trust.

Role Requirements

  • Experience in forestry or conservation land management, and a strong track record in land management.
  • Proficiency in managing complex projects and workstreams, leadership skills, public-facing communications, and community engagement.
  • A relevant HND/degree level qualification is welcome, and a full driving license is necessary.

The Role: As a Project Manager at Mourne Park, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of The National Lottery Heritage Fund project, which aims to uncover and preserve 500 years of undiscovered natural heritage. Your main duties will include achieving the targets agreed with the Estate and Projects Manager, maintaining full project management control, and ensuring all Heritage Fund/WTNI reporting and recording systems are up to date. You will direct the project team, oversee procurement, and provide leadership and supervision to ensure that work programmes are delivered on time and within budget. Additionally, you will develop strong relationships with partners, local communities, and the media to promote the project and the Woodland Trust.

Job Requirements: Candidates should have proven experience in programme and project delivery, particularly in forestry or conservation land management. You should be skilled in managing complex, multi-disciplinary workstreams and have a strong track record in land management and partnership projects. Leadership skills are crucial, as is experience in public facing communications and community engagement. A relevant HND/degree level qualification is preferred, and a full driving licence is required.
