Role Summary

About ARIA ARIA is a pioneering R&D funding agency in the UK, dedicated to funding scientists and engineers to tackle significant societal challenges through innovative science and technology. We are expanding our team to develop and implement bold new approaches that can scale across programmes, systems, and processes.

The Role As a Technical Specialist in Multi-Agent Security, you will work closely with the Programme Director, Alex Obadia, and other team members within ARIA's 'Trust Everything, Everywhere' initiative. Your role will involve every aspect of the programme's technical management, from design and approval to project selection and delivery. This position is ideal for adaptable, technically skilled professionals motivated by the opportunity to drive technological advancements.

Job Requirements You should have a strong technical foundation in physics, engineering, or a related field, with proven experience in a building role such as software/infrastructure engineering at an AI lab or startup. Experience in AI security, red-teaming, or formal verification is essential. You should also be entrepreneurial, independent, and capable of managing projects from inception to completion.

Benefits ARIA offers a competitive salary range of £70,000 to £105,000 per year, based on experience and meeting selection criteria. The role is based in London with a hybrid working arrangement, allowing flexibility between office and remote work. Additional benefits include 27 days of annual leave with the option to buy or sell extra days, enhanced family leave arrangements, a supportive environment for learning and development, and a 5% pension scheme contribution.

Additional Information This is a full-time, three-year fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension. You will be required to travel as necessary to support projects across the UK and internationally.
