We’re continuing to build our in-house Credit & Underwriting team at Octopus Electric Vehicles.
Our focus is on developing our policies, processes and tech tools to efficiently and accurately assess credit risk, with a strong focus on auto-decisioning. To help us do that, we’re hiring a Credit Risk Manager. This is a key hire, with significant ownership over credit policy and shaping the structure of our new credit team.
Our goal is to become an industry leader with our ability to provide quick credit line decisions to both consumer and B2B clients. We will build and invest in best in class technology and datasets to help you achieve that goal.
Today, the majority of our credit risk exposure is to commercial clients, mostly SME. Over time, however, consumer credit risk will be an increasingly important focus for the role.
The Credit Risk Manager will manage the Credit Risk team across Octopus Electric Vehicles including policy development, systems, day-to-day process, underwriting, administration and reporting. That said, you will have a strong team of underwriters with significant industry experience to look after much of the BAU activity.
What you'll doOversee the credit risk process within the business Manage the analytics function within the credit team Review existing data sets to provide insight into credit performance Develop credit policy, scorecards, process and systems Manage the current credit team and build out as the business needs change
What you'll needKnowledge and experience of credit risk modelling, strategy & policies (essential) Experience working in a hands-on credit assessment & underwriting environment (essential) Experience in asset finance or leasing (essential) Experience in vehicle leasing (preferable)
