TrustedHousesitters is a rapidly expanding, pet care and travel marketplace that connects a global community of pet lovers. With strong commitments to sustainability and a unique trust-based membership model, we are dedicated to becoming the world's most beloved travel solution for pet lovers. We're in need of an experienced professional, not necessarily to craft strategies, but to drive our existing ESG initiatives further.
Role Summary:
- Primary contact for all ESG and sustainability issues, reporting regularly to executive and board teams
- Management of carbon accounting and reporting, maintenance of our GHG emissions inventory, and management of our Greenly platform
- Ensuring compliance with B Corp certification and propelling our decarbonisation efforts in line with our Net Zero roadmap
- Project managing the annual Impact Report delivery and supporting brand team with ESG storytelling
Role Requirements:
- Experience in leading B Corp certification processes and technical expertise in carbon accounting
- Ability to thrive in autonomous roles and skilled at influencing and collaborating with senior stakeholders

The Role: This role is not about crafting strategies from scratch but driving forward the existing ESG initiatives. You will be responsible for keeping over 200 B Corp commitments on track, managing our carbon accounting, and serving as the primary ESG voice across the company. This position involves working across various teams, translating complex sustainability data into actionable insights, and reporting at the board level. There is potential for this role to become permanent depending on various factors.
What You'll Be Doing: - Acting as the primary contact for all ESG and sustainability matters, regularly reporting progress to executive and board teams. - Managing carbon accounting and reporting, maintaining our GHG emissions inventory, and managing our Greenly platform. - Ensuring compliance with B Corp certification and driving forward our decarbonisation efforts in line with our Net Zero roadmap. - Project managing the delivery of our annual Impact Report and supporting the brand team with ESG storytelling.
