Rivan Industries (Rivan.com) is a vertically integrated synthetic fuel company designed to decarbonise industries you can’t electrify. We aim to make synthetic fuel cheaper than fossil fuels and sustain life on earth by keeping the CO2 locked underground.

Over the past 2 years, we’ve designed and manufactured a modular synthetic fuel plant consisting of a DAC system, an Alkaline Electrolyser, and a Sabatier Reactor, vertically integrating with off-grid DC solar and the European gas-grid. We’ve recently deployed the UK’s largest synthetic fuel plant and are planning to 1000x this scale in the next 2 years. We now have clear line of sight to producing synthetic fuels cheaper than fossil over the next 5-10 years, becoming the first company in history to achieve this feat, allowing us to access one of the largest liquid markets on earth and forcing industry to adopt our new standard.

We’re looking for a Recruitment Operations Lead with the scar-tissue to own our hiring function so we can meet our exponential manufacturing and deployment targets without compromising talent density. We hire the top 0.1% of engineers and operators from 10k’s of applicants each year, so we need someone obsessed with building exceptional teams and culture.

We have one single goal – reduce the levelised cost of methane to the point drilling stops and companies mine the sky for carbon. If you urge to make a difference in the real-world, surrounded by people you admire doing great work with intensity, this is for you.

The role:

Own and expand our talent generation engine. This includes:

  • Defining hiring priorities and role requirements with our engineering, manufacturing, deployment and operations teams

  • Owning channel strategy and execution to reach and convert world-class talent

Architect and enhance our custom applicant tracking system. For example:

  • Identifying and unblocking bottlenecks to maintain processing velocity

  • Visualising and controlling all metrics that influence the probability of hire for each active role

Core skills:

  • 5+ years professional experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s (ideally in engineering or a technical discipline)

  • Track-record of owning a recruitment function in a fast-growing and technical environment

Bonus skills:

  • Have lots of interesting side projects you tinker on, have written about, or are generally curious to work on

Specifics:

  • £70 – 90k salary depending on experience

  • Significant share options as part of the early team

  • In-person work at our HQ in Bermondsey, South-East London – flexibility considered based on personal circumstances

  • Extensive relocation support, including £6000 per year extra to live close to our HQ

  • Health insurance

  • Unlimited time-off

We encourage exceptional applicants from all backgrounds to apply for this role, even if they do not meet all the requirements listed.
