About Us
Good Innovation is the UK’s leading social impact innovation consultancy, working only with organisations that do good. We exist to help people do more good in the world. It’s what gets us out of bed in the morning and it’s what fuels our team-driven environment for entrepreneurial minds.
Our ambition is to be the focal point of transformation in the social sector. Charities are at a crossroads as raising the money to fund their work is becoming more difficult, but the demand for the services they provide is increasing year-on-year.
In response, we’re working with charities to diversify how they generate income, provide more engaging experiences for the supporters who fund their work and to design newer, more impactful services for the people they exist to help.
One way we do that is through Good Futures – our trends and foresight service. We translate trends, to get to the ‘so what’ for charities and impact driven businesses, helping them prepare for what’s next. This service is just over a year old and we’re looking to grow and expand the team.
We are a diverse team of big thinkers, experienced entrepreneurs and social innovators, and we are proud to be using our skills for something good.
The Role - Associate Consultant (Good Futures)
Not many jobs offer you the chance to spot and translate trends, as well as help design products, experiences and services that will impact the lives of billions of people. This one does.
You’ll support our trend spotting activity and work closely with the Director of Big bets to spot, land and translate trends as part of Good Futures. You’ll begin to confidently articulate the ‘so whats’ for clients and craft innovation start points from trends.
You’ll lead on researching and writing our weekly trend content for Good Futures. You’ll work closely with the Director Big Bets to plan content for Weekly, and lead on the design and delivery of both the weekly newsletter and quarterly trend reports for our biggest clients.
You’ll support the design, planning and delivery of our quarterly safaris and follow up workshops. You’ll leverage the Good Innovation networks to source inspiring speakers, manage logistics for the events and work with our videographers to craft compelling outputs from the sessions.
You’ll build strong relationships with clients as you’ll be the day-to-day lead on Good Futures, answering subscriber queries onboarding new subscribers.
You’ll support the growth of Good Futures by working with the Good Innovation consultancy team to sell Good Futures to new and existing clients. You’ll support the Director of Big Bets to expand thinking on the product and grow into new markets.
You’ll be responsible for inspiring the wider team with updates on trends in order to input into and add value to our consulting processes and methodologies.
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for a curious person who is passionate about making a difference and working in the ‘doing good’ space. We’re a driven and ambitious bunch and want someone who is equally motivated by all things ‘future’.
Ideally you’ll also have some experience writing (either professionally or for pleasure) and would be happy to share some examples from your portfolio. You’ll get excited by crafting a narrative and passionate about telling a good story.
Ideally you’ve had some initial experience working in the ‘purpose’ space (for example with charities or social start-ups) and can demonstrate your desire to have a positive impact on the world.
Core Capabilities
Curiosity: You’ll be curious about the future, and a magpie for nuggets of information and inspiration about what’s coming up next.
People Skills: You will be bright and confident, with a passion for working collaboratively as much as under your own steam.
Creativity: You’ll have a flair for creativity whilst also having the resilience and determination to overcome barriers in an ever-changing environment.
Passion for Innovation: You’ll be curious about innovation. We will provide exposure to the consultancy team and the end-to-end innovation process from qual research to ideation, to prototyping and building new products.
Organisation: You’ll have excellent organisational skills and be able to manage your own time effectively as you work across multiple priorities each week. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the Director of Big Bets, and the wider consultancy team.
