Operational All Rounder to Manage Fleet Growth in Electric Van Subscriptions.
DriveSimple provides flexible Van Subscriptions to small businesses. We have a fleet of diesel vans already on the road and are now leading the charge into Electric Vans Subscriptions in the UK. We are already doubling in size every 6 months and need someone effective and efficient to add capacity, energy and focus to the management of our growing fleet.
We have a strong background in this high value growth sector and plan to accelerate our growth from £2m to £20m of Fleet assets within 18 months. Where we will provide the technical context, we are now looking for a serious operator to come in and join at the ground floor with genuine unlimited progression, tonnes of guidance and support from experienced managers, a base salary to attract the best, and a real share of value added.
We are in the early stages of our tech-enabled journey to set thousands of SME’s free from cumbersome and complex van options. Instead of 4-year contracts with large deposits, mindless checks and sales jargon we provide vans on a monthly basis for a single inclusive payment.
We have a strong track record in the sector where our team started, scaled and exited what is now Zipcar in the Uk, we have bought and operated more than £50m of vehicles and have more than 35 years combined experience successfully managing high growth ventures.

We have just completed a second funding round of £600k to allow 3x growth this year with another 3x growth planned for 2023. We are growing with ambition based on multiple experiences of this accelerated growth curve.
We operate a heavily outsourced model where third-party partners deliver, store, service and repair our vehicles. This role is the desk based operational and commercial coordination of those partners with responsibility for all our vehicles where you can pick up the technical basics along the way. Where we are on track to rapidly scale to £100m of assets within 5 years the role also demands constant innovation to build future capacity. This type of High Value growth environment demands the ability to execute current priorities and concurrently design, launch and improve processes to prepare for execution on a wider scale.
The role will initially focus on the management of servicing and identifying and repairing damage. Where there is the potential for losses greater than the gross margin generated, this is a business-critical role in a high value, high growth venture and an opportunity to play a material role in significant value add. You will be heavily supported by the Founding MD who has fulfilled this role on multiple occasions. There is genuine unlimited progression and certainly the hope that wider roles within Vehicle Procurement and Disposal can be taken once bedded in. Key Functions would include:
- Develop Service Schedules and organise for these to be completed by Service Partners.
- Develop and Improve Damage Identification Processes for Partners to execute though periodic video and In-person checks.
- Implement and maintain organisational systems to track vehicles and works
- Identifying opportunities for the use of software to scale processes
- Oversee, negotiate and approve costs against budget parameters
- Take on roles to assist and manage the procurement of the next £150m of Vehicles
- Take responsibility for end of use repairs and de-fleeting of vehicles.
The role is execution focussed where a healthy blend of commercial, organisational and real world skills are required to drive the constant improvement of how we do things. You will also need to be flexible in your approach to an evolving environment and workflows. Within a small growing team, a can-do attitude will be critical, and you will be expected to bring efficiency, proactivity and work rate to the table.
For the right individual this is a trajectory changing role within a venture on course for big things.

Location – FT Office based in High Street Kensington with a 20% Flex Policy.
Package - Up to £63k OTE to attract the best. Base up to £45k with 40% further performance-based pay. Longer term incentives at 12 months.
