Senior Operations Manager (Maternity cover)

You’ll be Maternity cover for our Operations Director who returns July 2023. This role oversees our Operational, HR and Governance processes in accordance with our Trustee Board, Charity Commission and UK law. We are a team of almost 20 located across the UK, plus freelancers and admin who ensure the smooth running of Stemette Futures interventions and outreach work. We’re currently participating in the UK’s Four Day Work Week trial, are about to enter a year of 10th anniversary celebrations of Stemettes and are working on Regional expansion. You will have no direct reports. You will bring expertise and prior experience to support our organisation at this inflexion.

Responsibilities

• Support  Charity Director and CFO to ensure smooth running of operations
• Ensure Operational Policies and Procedures are followed and maintained
• Oversee HR processes - onboarding, reviews, learning & development, wellbeing and interviews
• Support Governance work across statutory requirements, Safeguarding and Data Protection
• Participate in Board meetings and support subcommittees where necessary
• Support work on our 10 year anniversary celebrations
• Support work on our Regional Expansion plans
• Lead on our involvement in the Four Day Work Week trial
• Support in Management Reporting and new Thought Leadership work
• Participate in organisational ideation and process improvement
• Support facilitation of Stemettes interventions

You’ll report directly to our Charity Director. This is a full-time position, based in the UK (no remote applicants, please), fixed contract for 12 months with a possible extension thereafter. Pay range is 40000GBP-45000GBP. Contract starts July/August 2022. After 3 months you’ll be able to opt into our Four Day Work pilot at full pay.
