ABOUT US
The British Library Business & IP Centre (BIPC), based at St Pancras in London, opened in March 2006 with the help of London Development Agency funding. Since then, it has welcomed over 1,000,000 people through the doors and online. We have an excellent track record in supporting entrepreneurs from all walks of life to start and grow successful businesses, with people who have used our services up to four times more likely to create a sustainable business.
The Business & IP Centre is at the core of a wider National Network across the UK, through which any entrepreneur or SME can receive free access to databases, market research, journals, directories and reports worth thousands of pounds, as well as a high quality and consistent service tailored to meet local requirement. We also have an emerging permanent business support service of BIPC Locals in some London borough libraries enabling us to reach entrepreneurs in the heart of their communities.
THE ROLE
We are currently looking for a dynamic Marketing and Content Coordinator to join our Business and Digital Marketing Teams. In this role you will contribute to the delivery of an ambitious strategy, aiming to make business support accessible to everyone through the British Library’s BIPC, and through the emerging BIPC Local business support service in London borough libraries.
You will support the Senior Marketing Manager (Business) and work closely with other members of the marketing team (Marketing Manager, Marketing and Content Coordinator) to develop and implement strong, content-led marketing plans. These will raise awareness of the BIPC and its core offer at the British Library, as well as across the emerging hub and spoke business support service of BIPC Locals in London borough libraries. You'll ensure efficient campaign delivery that is on brand and on message.
You’ll be a creative thinker with experience of working on marketing campaigns and have a genuine interest in supporting entrepreneurs, including those from diverse backgrounds. Writing copy for print and digital collateral will come naturally to you.
You’ll be comfortable with creating content for channels including email, social and web, and have experience in social media management. You'll lead on content creation for our owned channels and manage our social media calendar.
This is a part time, fixed term role.
