When you join our team as a Junior Cloud Engineer, you'll build and maintain robust, innovative services and infrastructure to put our products in the hands of our customers 

Working in an agile team you will develop cutting edge engineering solutions, whilst having access to a wide range of technologies.

During our training programme, there is a strong focus on self-learning and development, you'll spend your first week understanding our innovative culture at one of the comparethemarket.com's offices in either Peterborough or London, before spending the next 16 weeks studying at the Makers Academy, a leading software development boot camp, delivered online. Training hours will be from 9.30am to 6pm. This will kick start your coding journey on a Level 4 Devops Engineer Standard Apprenticeship.

Following on from boot camp, you'll join one of our tech teams where you will develop your career as a Cloud Engineer, delivering real business projects that add value to our customers. 

This opportunity will provide you with an alternative route into working for one of the most loved UK brands without the need to follow the classic university pathway. 

What will you be responsible for as a Junior Cloud Engineer? 

• Developing first class cloud engineering solutions 
• Work alongside team members to deliver features and add value to your team. 
• Solving complex problems

• Working with agile methodologies and lean thinking methods 
• Presenting your findings and making recommendations to improve business performance 
• Contributing to the team by sharing knowledge, ideas and findings 

What will it take to be successful as a Junior Cloud Engineer? 

• Maths and English Language GCSE's Grades A*-C / 4-9 (or equivalent) - Essential Goverment requirement
• Must NOT hold a qualification in an equivalent standard in computing 
• You'll be an active learner, both within your technical and professional areas of expertise, taking control of your own career development 
• You'll be naturally inquisitive 
• You will have excellent communication skills with the drive to contribute to a team 
• You're highly logical with creative problem solving skills
