Requirements

  • Work to scope, sequence, design and write best-in-class curriculum across Multiverse’s business, management and technical programmes
  • Bring your extensive knowledge of what works in higher education, corporate education or professional development to bear, to inform and create a range of possibilities including live and asynchronous learning and assessment
  • Design programmes and content in line with the Multiverse course blueprint, ensuring authenticity and integrity in its implementation while bringing to bear your knowledge and obsession with what works for learners to bring it to life
  • Design multiple modes of delivery and activities for each stage in the course journey
  • Identify knowledge gaps through in-depth research, including consultations with clients
  • Find and work with subject matter experts to create structure and rigour around each programme
  • Embed Multiverse’s applied learning approach in all our content. If apprentices are learning new concepts, they need to be equipped to apply them in their role as soon as possible.
  • Start with the end in mind. Establish clear outcomes for our apprentices, and work backwards to ensure sessions and content are fully aligned with those outcomes. Your success will ultimately be reflected in all apprentices on this course 1) achieving high marks at the end of the course and 2) applying their learning to be highly successful in their job roles. The course(s) you design should predict these results, providing data ongoing that things are on track.
  • Bring your curiosity and deep knowledge of learning and learning technology to ensure that keeping up with and staying at the forefront of trends in highly effective learning

A bit about you:

  • (For Technical Stream) You have a mathematical/scientific background and are able to think creatively about how to teach technical subjects, predominantly the foundations of data science including foundational statistics, statistical inference and data analytics.
  • (For Business Management Stream) You have a background in business subjects including project management, leadership, and managing change/ business transformations
  • Experience in designing and delivering successful online and offline professional development over a long period of time (e.g. 1 year or 450+ hrs of content)
  • Degree, training or significant experience in Instructional Design, Research, Educational Psychology, or similar.
  • Expert in sound assessment strategies and development
  • Ability to source and utilize verified information to create courses.
  • You are comfortable writing curriculum content up to Bachelor’s degree level
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts
  • Your design is modular: elements can be easily modified and reused, and you can swap out face-to-face and e-learning components as needed and in line with best practice/data
  • You know how to develop teaching resources using Google Suite. Experience using online learning tools e.g. Captivate, Articulate, Elucidat etc is a plus but not a requirement. An openness and willingness to learn new tools are just as important as experience using a particular tool in the past.
  • Bias toward action and ability to work at a fast pace
  • Attention to detail
  • Uncanny ability to keep existing work on track while improving it and launching the next version - exceptional ability to right-size effort on projects, in line with the scale of results and impact - comfort launching imperfect things and taking tough decisions on priorities
  • Ability to work with and form great relationships with the range of personalities, including coaches, curriculum managers and writers, technical product managers, designers and senior managers
  • You are data-driven: you most care about what works and doing more of that
  • You are an advocate of the applied learning route and believe strongly that knowledge, skills and behaviours that are taught in this model must be applied in the workplace
  • Big dreams but a total lack of ego
