We provide innovative open-access data, clear metrics, and actionable insights to leading companies, financial institutions, governments and campaigning organisations worldwide.

One of our key strategic programmes, Forest 500, identifies and ranks the most influential companies and financial institutions in forest risk commodity supply chains as we shift to a deforestation-free economy. By objectively identifying and ranking these 500 powerbrokers on an annual basis, the Forest 500 holds the companies and financial institutions accountable for their actions.

Global Canopy is seeking various Language Consultants to provide research support to the Forest 500 assessments for varying periods of engagement from 1-2 days up to 2-3 weeks. These consultants will play a key role in the 2022 assessments of the corporate and financial powerbrokers commitments on tropical deforestation.

The selected consultants will work collaboratively as part of a small team to assess the commodity policies and transparency of companies and financial institutions on deforestation and will assist in the identification and analysis of relevant information, while performing a translation role within the team.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you need:

• To be fluent in one or more of the following languages: Arabic, Bahasa Indonesia, Dutch, Italian, Japanese, Turkish, Thai
• Demonstrated research skills, with an eye for detail and accuracy when researching and ability to clearly communicate findings
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well on a team.
