Role Summary
- As a Creative Programmes Ambassador at Kew, you will be a crucial part of the Visitor Operations Team, greeting visitors to the artistic installations and responding to their queries.
- Enable active interaction between visitors and the installations by offering a warm welcome, proficiently dealing with enquiries, and respectfully guiding visitors on how to engage with the Installations.
- Manage queues effectively and advise on the best methods to experience the installations.
Role Requirements
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role preferred, ideally at a visitor attraction, and an outgoing, friendly demeanor.
- Strong communication skills, self-motivation, and confidence.
- The role requires outdoor work in various weather conditions, often involving lengthy periods of standing, and bicycling skills would be advantageous for navigating the garden's different installations.

The role: As a Creative Programmes Ambassador at Kew, you will be part of the Visitor Operations Team, responsible for welcoming visitors to the artistic Installations that have been specially commissioned for the programmes. Your primary duties include encouraging visitors to interact with the Installations by providing a warm and outgoing welcome, handling visitor queries about the Installations or the Gardens in general, and confidently and respectfully informing visitors on the appropriate way to engage with the Installations. You will also undertake some queue management and provide guidance on the best way to experience them.
Job requirements: You will have an outgoing, friendly manner, and have experience working in a customer facing role, ideally at a visitor attraction. Great communication skills are a must, as is the ability to be self-motivated and confident. Due to Kew’s nature as an outdoor site, this role will be based outdoors, in a range of weather conditions. It can involve long periods of standing and the ability to ride a bicycle will prove to be useful when travelling between the different installations across the gardens.
