Role Summary:
- As the Deputy Visitor Experience Manager at Wakehurst, your primary tasks will involve supporting the Visitor Admission and Retail operations at the Visitor Centre.
- You will play a pivotal role in not just reaching sales, admission, and membership targets, but also uplifting the Visitor Experience Assistant team.
- The role entails working on weekends in a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday rotation.
Role Requirements:
- Applicants should possess a background in leading a team in a fast-paced Retail and/or Visitor Attraction setting.
- Strong administrative and communication skills are crucial, along with adeptness in managing conflicting priorities and working autonomously.
- Team management or leadership ability along with being a supportive and positive motivator is essential.

The role: As the Deputy Visitor Experience Manager at Wakehurst, you will support the Visitor Admission and Retail operation within the Wakehurst Visitor Centre. This is a key role in delivering sales, admission, and membership targets while supporting and leading the Visitor Experience Assistant team. The position involves weekend working with a pattern of Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday.

Job requirements: We are looking for someone with experience of leading a team in a fast-paced Retail and/or Visitor Attraction environment. You should demonstrate exceptional customer service, strong administrative and communication skills, and the ability to manage conflicting priorities and work using your own initiative. Effective and collaborative team management/leadership skills are essential to support and encourage the team to develop and perform using positive motivation and addressing any performance issues promptly.
