Role Summary:
- Support consolidation of system security technical requirements for the Galileo programme in line with mission-level security requirements
- Oversee proposed mission-level security enhancements
- Ensure global consistency of non-PRS security development across ground and space segments
- Manage internal ICDs, support procurement security activities, follow non-PRS security design activities, and support the system security verification team
Role Requirements:
- A master's degree in telecommunications engineering and significant systems engineering experience, including SAFe methodologies are required
- Familiarity with satellite navigation systems, security architectures, and contract management
- Knowledge of security assurance and evaluation standards
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, international environment with superb technical, analytical, organizational, and reporting skills

The European Space Agency (ESA) is seeking a Galileo Ground Segment Security Engineer to join the System Security Implementation Unit of the Galileo System Security Service, within the Galileo Programme Department, Directorate of Navigation. This position is based at ESTEC in Noordwijk, Netherlands.
The role: As a Galileo Ground Segment Security Engineer, you will be instrumental in supporting the consolidation of the system security technical requirements baseline in alignment with the mission level security requirements for the Galileo programme. Your responsibilities will include reviewing proposed mission-level security evolutions, managing the ground segment security baseline, and ensuring the global consistency of non-PRS security development across the ground and space segments. Additionally, you will manage internal ICDs, support procurement security activities, follow up on non-PRS security design activities, and support the system security verification team.
Job requirements: The ideal candidate will have a master's degree in telecommunications engineering and strong experience in systems engineering, including SAFe methodologies. Knowledge of satellite navigation systems, security architectures, and managing industrial contracts is essential. You should also have familiarity with security assurance and evaluation standards and processes. The ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, international team environment is crucial, along with excellent technical, analytical, organizational, and reporting skills.
