About the role
The key role of the Sustainability & Carbon Consultant, Life Cycle Designer is to:
- Use eToolLCD software to undertake life cycle environmental and cost assessments of buildings and infrastructure to produce meaningful, quantifiable sustainability and cost comparisons between design options
- Interrogate the eToolLCD models to make appropriate recommendations to facilitate a significant reduction in the CO2 emissions with an acceptable return on investment
- Ensure client expectations are met for every project
What we're looking for
- You don't mind crunching numbers, are happy working autonomously and can confidently speak to groups to communicate your work
- Research skills, initiative and lateral thinking ability will be highly regarded
- Further education or experience in an area such as life cycle assessment, environmental sustainability, civil, structural or environmental engineering, as an estimator or draft person within the construction industry will behighly regarded
Assessors are trained in the use of eToolLCD software and CAD packages to interpret designs, extract the required data and run LCAs. You will be working on projects including:
- New Residential and Commercial Buildings;
- Property Developments;
- Infrastructure Projects, and
- Building retrofits.
