Role Summary -

The European Space Agency (ESA) is seeking a dedicated Earth Observation Ground Segment and Data Manager to join our Earth Observation Programmes Directorate at ESRIN in Frascati, Italy. This role is crucial for managing the data of ESA and third-party missions, particularly during the pre-launch and operational phases.

The role: As an Earth Observation Ground Segment and Data Manager, you will be involved in the onboarding of new EO missions using the ESA Missions Operations and Data Management Framework for EO Science Missions (EOF-EOS). This includes evaluating new missions, defining system requirements, and managing the integration and operational readiness of mission-specific and generic services. Post-launch, you will oversee the data management operations, ensuring the generation and availability of quality EO science data.

Job requirements: Candidates should possess a master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline, solid system-level knowledge of data generation and management systems for EO missions, and proven experience in operations management and technical project management. The ability to work effectively in an international team, high motivation, and a good degree of autonomy are essential.
