Principal Power System Engineer

Rivan Industries is a pioneering synthetic fuel company focused on decarbonizing heavy industry. Our mission is to make synthetic fuel more affordable than fossil fuels, supporting life on earth by keeping CO2 locked underground. We design and manufacture modular synthetic fuel plants that include a DAC system, an Alkaline Electrolyser, and a Sabatier Reactor. We are also vertically integrated with off-grid DC solar and the European gas-grid. Recently, we deployed the UK's largest synthetic fuel plant and have plans to significantly scale up our operations within the next two years.

The role: We are seeking a Principal Power System Engineer to lead our DC solar array design. This role involves removing inefficiencies and ensuring the safest and simplest distribution of electricity. You will be responsible for designing a >1MW scale solar array and power distribution system that integrates directly with a DC electrolyser and thermal reactor. Additionally, the role includes designing combiner boxes, optimizing cable layouts, and cost optimization of the solar array.

Job requirements: The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience, proficiency in circuit diagramming preferably with Solidworks Electrical, and experience certifying solar array and combiner panels to BS & IEC standards.
