ClearScore is expanding and to support our productivity, reliability and efficiency we are expanding our Site Reliability Engineering team with a Senior Platform Product Manager. Our SRE team is responsible for building our internal developer platform which provides three nines of uptime to all critical services, supports over a thousand production releases per month and scales intelligently in response to system load and unexpected events.

Our Platform is run and managed internally as a ‘PaaS’ - which means concerns such as infrastructure, networking, reliability etc. are abstracted away from delivery teams. We provide self-service tooling that enable the teams to create, release and troubleshoot their applications without assistance. As our engineering organisation continues to grow, we are formalising this ‘PaaS’ approach, and bringing in dedicated Product specialists who can help take our Platform to the next level.

Joining our SRE team as our Product Manager gives you the chance to sit at the heart of an exciting tech culture, exploring best in class tools to solve challenging problems. We use a laundry list of technology to make things work (including Kubernetes, Golang, Kafka, Terraform, Spinnaker, Jenkins). Whilst prior exposure to these technologies is advantageous, we are really looking for people with strong product management fundamentals who can work between the needs of the delivery organisation and the capabilities of the Platform in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work across the software delivery organisation to understand, scope and prioritise the requirements of delivery teams on the Platform.
  • Lead discovery processes to better understand the problems and needs of delivery teams.
  • Analyse, monitor and drive improvements in the velocity and efficiency of the software delivery organisation.
  • Create and own an ambitious roadmap and OKRs for the team which are clearly connected to the company strategy and mission.
  • Facilitate sprint planning, roadmap planning etc.
  • Work with Product Management across the organisation to drive better alignment.

Why ClearScore?

ClearScore is currently the biggest marketplace for credit products in the UK and in South Africa with over 16 million users. We are the first company to facilitate access to credit products using Open Banking data, making credit accessible to users with no credit files or low credit scores. In the UK alone, we have established relationships with over 50 of the main lenders and have been a trusted tool for customers to manage their credit and make better financial decisions.

We were the first business to offer free credit reports. We did so because we are user-centric at our core and believe in leveraging on technology to enable positive financial choices. We are design-led and data driven and we embed these behaviours in everything we do.

Our company culture is a fundamental part of all we have achieved. We believe in hiring smart, driven, passionate and diverse people who are keen on having a real impact in our organisation. We trust you to manage your own time, so we offer flexible work and no fixed desk hours. We don't micromanage and believe in measuring outcomes rather than effort. We have an inclusive culture where all, regardless of seniority, are encouraged to contribute with their ideas, look after their wellbeing and actively seek opportunities for career growth.

If you feel like this could be the place for you, apply and our Talent team will be happy to share more.
