Description

Equal Education Partners are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to work with our HE team as a Higher Education Programme Manager.

The successful candidate must be passionate about education and tackling educational disadvantage by providing Higher Education access opportunities to learners in Wales through leading on various projects for the Welsh Government.

We're looking to bring in someone on a long-term contract who is able to commit until March 2024.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Welsh Government’s policy team, regional hub coordinators and national programme delivery partners to enhance the impact of Wales’ flagship higher education access programme - Seren
  • Report to the Head of the Seren programme and Welsh Government colleagues on all aspects of work undertaken
  • Oversee data and reporting on Seren’s digital portal, evaluation processes and reports to assess programme effectiveness
  • Exploring possibilities, and putting forward recommendations, for linking data with other data systems to track learners’/users’ journey through to higher education
  • Develop pilot collaboration programmes with London universities to support learners across Wales
  • Devise additional mechanisms for driving engagement across the programme from learners and graduates of the programme
  • Devising the Seren Engagement Programme for 2023/24, including the implementation of ways to increase engagement from disadvantaged learners
  • Identify areas of development for Seren’s content
  • Finalise and implement Seren Graduates strategy (subject to approval)
  • Finalise and implement Seren Careers/Internship strategy (subject to approval)

Requirements

  • Passionate about improving opportunities in Higher Education
  • Knowledge of the higher education sector (experience within the HE sector is desirable)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong organisational skills being able to manage various demands/ projects
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent qualifications, or relevant experience
