Role Summary

  • Play a key role in the development and delivery of MQ's research funding programs.
  • Manage tasks across all stages of the grant cycle from the design of the funding call to award completion and report generation.
  • Coordinate the program hands-on and take on increasing responsibility for project planning, stakeaker engagement and continuous improvement.

Role Requirements

  • Prior experience in grants management, program coordination, or research funding.
  • Efficient project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a good understanding of academic research processes.
  • Awareness of financial procedures and proficiency with digital systems and databases.
  • Proactive, cooperative approach and a strong interest in mental health research.

The role: As a Grants Manager, you will play a crucial role in the delivery and development of MQ's research funding programmes. You will manage activities across the full grants lifecycle, from funding call design to award completion, learning, and reporting. This role involves hands-on programme coordination and increasing responsibility for project planning, stakeholder engagement, decision-making support, and continuous improvement.

Job requirements: We are looking for someone with experience in grants management, programme coordination, or research funding. You should have strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a good understanding of academic research processes. Financial awareness and proficiency in using digital systems and databases are also required. A proactive, collaborative approach and a strong interest in mental health research are essential.
