The Careers and Student Enterprise Service is the academic, career and employability nucleus of the University of East London. The goal of the Service is to support every student to achieve academically, gain the skills for the 21st century workforce, and build direct pathways to employment. The Work-Based Learning Officer will be working directly with students across the institution to promote, prepare for and connect students with work-based learning opportunities to enhance their careers and employability aspirations. 

This includes delivering presentations in lectures, running small group workshops, holding drop-ins and 1-2-1 employability sessions, promoting work-based learning opportunities, assisting with the full recruitment cycle, liaising with employers, collaborating with relevant academics and working with colleagues within the service and with colleagues in other professional services within the university. 

You will have prior experience of stakeholder management with the ability to deliver a range of impactful and innovative employability initiatives. You will have excellent networking and interpersonal skills, be comfortable developing business opportunities and communicating with a range of audiences including senior managers, academic staff and students. You will be comfortable working in a target-driven environment and able to work flexibly to meet the changing demands of a busy service. 

A successful external candidate for this position would be employed by UEL Professional Services Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of UEL.
